Constantin Medien AG enlarges its Management Board - Thilo Proff appointed as Board Member responsible for SportsIn yesterday's meeting, following the proposal by Chairman of the Management Board, Bernhard Burgener, the Supervisory Board of Constantin Medien AG decided to appoint Thilo Proff, aged 46, to the newly-created position of Board Member responsible for Sports as from March 1, 2012.

As Board Member in this function he will hold general responsibility for all the activities of Constantin Medien AG in this field. At the same time he will also take over the functions of Zeljko Karajica as Management Director of Constantin Sport Medien GmbH, operator of LIGA total!, and as Management Director of SPORT1.

Already during his studies of business administration, Thilo Proff began his professional career with the Westdeutscher Rundfunk in Cologne in 1986. For the first twelve years he worked in various capacities for the TV channels WDR, VOX, SAT.1 and for the film production company Janus in the sports area. From 1998, he worked for 13 years in the ProSiebenSat.1 group as Editor, Editor-in-Chief and Director of Programming with kabel eins, as Head of Channel Strategy, Deputy Managing Director and finally - from 2008 to 2011 - as Managing Director of ProSieben.

Bernhard Burgener, Chairman of the Management Board of Constantin Medien AG, comments: "By taking this step we are achieving an even stronger focus on the sports area, and I am very pleased that the newly-created position is to be filled by an experienced media manager. At the same time, in the name of the Board I explicitly like to express my warm thanks to Zeljko Karajica for his successful commitment, in particular the introduction of the multimedia umbrella brand SPORT1, the development of new distribution channels and the launch of new offers such as SPORT1 HD and the pay-TV channel SPORT1+."
