(Alliance News) - Snam Spa announced Wednesday that Pere Margalef-Valldeperez, the company's director of decarbonization technologies, has been appointed as the industry representative on the board of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, which includes companies such as RWE, Airbus, Salzgitter and Helbio.

The partnership is a public-private partnership that supports research and innovation activities in hydrogen technologies in Europe.

Its goal is to increase the development and deployment of the European value chain for safe and sustainable clean hydrogen technologies, strengthening its competitiveness.

The partnership consists of three members: the EU, represented by the European Commission; the industrial community, represented by Hydrogen Europe; and the scientific and academic community, represented by Hydrogen Europe Research.

Snam is in the red by 0.2 percent at EUR4.35 per share.
