• Year-on-year series production up 27% after first two months
• All-time production highs established in both January and February
• First quarter poised to become 12th consecutive quarter of year-on-year increase

[Stockholm, 6 March 2024] – Series production started strong, with new all-time highs in both January and February.  The January production was 18% above the previous high for January, set in 2023.  The February production was 27% above the previous high for February, set in 2020, immediately before the onset of Covid shutdowns.

Year-on-year, the production volume for the two months is up 27%, providing clear visibility for a twelfth consecutive quarter of year-on-year series production increases.  At 3.9 million Engine Equivalents, series production for the first two months is also 4% above the fourth quarter of 2023, following a return to normal volume on a major production line that encountered an unrelated five-week stoppage in the November and December.

“It’s a really positive start.  January is always low due to the New Year holidays and, with our biggest customer being based in Brazil, the southern hemisphere summer shutdown period.  Posting 3.7 million Engine Equivalents in January and 4.1 million in February provides a running start to 2024.  We now look forward to March, and to extending our string of consecutive year-on-year quarterly production increases to twelve quarters” said Dr Steve Dawson, President & CEO of SinterCast.  “We’re also enjoying a positive start to our 2024 installation campaign.  Normally, installations are biased toward the second half of the year, but we have already received orders for expanded functionality at some existing installations, and ongoing discussions for new installations are at an advanced stage.  This early momentum reinforces our ambition to exceed our historical installation revenue of approximately SEK 8 million of in 2024.”
