Santos Brasil Participa?es S.A. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was BRL 458.68 million compared to BRL 257.17 million a year ago. Revenue was BRL 396.56 million compared to BRL 220.27 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 66.63 million compared to net loss of BRL 5.45 million a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was BRL 1,260.89 million compared to BRL 781.1 million a year ago. Revenue was BRL 1,090.7 million compared to BRL 668.93 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 157.95 million compared to net loss of BRL 28.06 million a year ago.
Santos Brasil Participacoes SA is a Brazil-based holding company that provides logistics services. Through its subsidiaries, the Company manages and operates port facilities and provides integrated logistics for cargo transportation. The Company operates in three business areas: Port Container Terminals sector, which includes port operators engaged in loading and unloading container ships and bonded warehouses providing the storage of cargo handled in their docks; Logistics sector, which offers distribution center and transportation services, and Vehicles Terminal, which provides loading and unloading of vehicles and cars warehousing. The Companyâs three container terminals are located in the states of Sao Paulo, Para and Santa Catarina.
