Salcef S p A : Track renewal in Umbria

The Salcef Group's companies, Salcef S.p.A. and Euroferroviaria S.r.l., have been awarded the tender issued by RFI (Rete Ferroviaria Italiana) for the renewal and extraordinary maintenance of the railway infrastructure on various sections in the Umbria region. The tender, financed through the PNRR funds, has a value of €70 million and will cover approximately 100 kmof track.

The works carried out by the Salcef Group will involve the renewal and upgrading of the entire railway superstructure, as well as extraordinary maintenance and adaptation of the tunnels. This will allow for the reactivation and reopening of currently out-of-service sections of the former Ferrovia Centrale Umbra railway line, restoring connectivity between various locations in central Umbria.

This contract represents a significant investment in the Italian railway sector and will contribute to improving rail transportation quality in the region.
