River and Mercantile Group PLC announced the promotion of James Barham to the position of Deputy CEO, in a newly created role with responsibility for all commercial business lines (covering the company’s Solutions and Asset Management businesses). At the same time, Jack Berry moves to a new role designed to help clients with more complex needs adopt strategies to exploit macro conditions most effectively. The development of these activities is a key Group initiative. Jack has a strong background in client engagement and originally set up the company’s Derivatives business. Kevin Hayes will take on leadership of the Global Solutions business. Kevin has a background in advisory and asset management businesses and is well placed to lead the business into its next phase of development. Kevin will retain his CFO responsibility on the Board. Both Kevin and Jack will now report to James. Mike Faulkner, as CEO, will continue to concentrate on accelerating the company’s research and development in investment strategies.
