RASPADSKAYA A new longwall with commercial reserves of 3 million tons of coal has been put into operation at Raspadskaya mine, Raspadskaya Coal Company (RCC).
The new longwall is 1.6 km long and 300 meters long. The entire complex of capital mining, tunneling and installation works was performed. During the preparation of the longwall face the crews of the heading sections No.7 and No.30 passed about 7 km of mine workings.
Special attention was paid to industrial safety of the longwall area. Digital machine vision systems have been installed in the longwall face, which enable 24/7 online monitoring of all technological processes. Sixteen video cameras, digital sensors of cleaning equipment operation, aerogas monitoring and others are installed.
This longwall is developed at a depth of approximately 600 meters. The face is equipped with a modern face cleaning complex and a new face conveyor was purchased and installed. The capacity of the equipment and mining and geological conditions allow producing up to 9,900 tonnes of coal per day.
Raspadskaya mine extracts GZh coking coal. One of the best teams of Raspadskaya Coal Company - Aleksey Voronkov's team from operation N17 - works in the coal face. The miners will work on the reserves for a year and a half.
