PT Multistrada Arah Sarana Tbk : HONORARY VISIT OF GUINEA PRESIDENT ALPHA CONDE TO MULTISTRADA’S FACTORY

Jakarta, August 1st 2016 - PT Multistrada Arah Sarana Tbk (BEI: 'MASA'), one of the biggest national tire producer in Indonesia is receiving the visit of Guinea President Alpha Conde along with delegates in terms of introducing Indonesia's superior industry towards the 12th World Islamic Economic Forum in Jakarta.

The Vice President of PT Multistrada Arah Sarana, Tbk Sukarman welcomes the honorary visit of the Guinea President Alpha Conde. 'As the national tire producer, we have the capability of producing 28.500 car tires per day and 16.000 motorcycle tires per day at Multistrada's 55 hectares factory located in Cikarang which is also the biggest Indonesia's tire manufacturing factory.'

70% of the Multistrada's products are exported to several countries such as the United States, Europe, South-East Asia, Japan, Australia and Middle East area. The company also hopes to expand the market into potential countries in order to increase Multistrada's market share in tire export.

Based on the Indonesian Department of Foreign Affairs's data, the trade between The Republic of Indonesia and Guinea is considered as potential. Indonesia has always had surplus for the last several years. Apart from that, tire imports in Guinea have experienced an increase every year. Total imported tires in Guinea has reached USD 22,83 miilion or 66,4% increase since 2011.

Guinea President Alpha Conde's visit to Multistrada's tire factory is a series of site visit which has been arranged by the Indonesian Department of Foreign Affairs to introduce Indonesia's favored industry.

This occasion is done before the opening of World Islamic Economic Forum which will be held in Jakarta from the 2nd to 4th of August as well as to attend a bilateral meeting with the President of the Indonesian Republic, Jokowi.

A brief look of PT Multistrada Arah Sarana, Tbk (MASA)

PT Multistrada Arah Sarana Tbk (BEI: MASA) is one of the biggest national tire emitent in Indonesia. The company's favored product is Achilles for car tires (Passenger Car/PCR) and Corsa for motorcycle tires (Motor Cycle/MC). At this moment, the company has a production capacity of 10 million PCR tires per year and 6 million MC tires per year which are produced in a 55-hectare field factory, one of the biggest in Indonesia. In 2016, the company targets a 10% - 15% by adjusting the production capacity through the debottlenecking project.

Now, around 70% of car tire products are exported to more than 90 countries whereas 30% of which is allocated for domestic market. Meanwhile, almost all Motor Cycle tires are targeted for the local market consumption.
