NEW YORK (AP) _ Minerals Technologies Inc. (MTX) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $29 million.

On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had net income of 83 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 95 cents per share.

The maker of mineral, mineral-based and synthetic mineral products posted revenue of $440.2 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $132.7 million, or $3.78 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.79 billion.

Minerals Technologies shares have declined 4% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $55.19, a decline of almost 4% in the last 12 months.
