NEW YORK, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. has named Anna Last the Editor of Everyday Food, a popular, digest-sized magazine featuring simple and delicious recipes that provide the taste and quality consumers expect from the kitchens of Martha Stewart. Ms. Last will oversee all aspects of the magazine's editorial and visual content. In addition, she will help shape the brand's presence across MSLO's omnimedia platforms, including Publishing, Internet and Broadcasting. Ms. Last replaces Editor in Chief Debra Puchalla, who now serves as Executive Editor at Martha Stewart Living, and Food Editor Sandy Gluck, who continues to host the popular "The Everyday Food Hour" on Martha Stewart Living Radio on SIRIUS channel 112 and XM Radio 157. Ms. Last will report to MSLO's SVP Editorial Director of Food and Entertaining Lucinda Scala Quinn and work closely with Eric Pike, MSLO's EVP, Editorial and Creative Director.

Everyday Food is a practical guide for those seeking fresh and nutritious recipes that are easy to prepare using readily available ingredients from the supermarket. Since its successful launch in 2003, Everyday Food has inspired two television series - "Everyday Food" and "Everyday Baking" on PBS - a radio show, the bestselling book Everyday Food: Great Food Fast and the "Dinner Tonight" blog on marthastewart.com, offering dinner ideas every weekday with recipes culled from the pages of the magazine.

A creative leader with a strong editorial and visual background in food and recipe development, Ms. Last joins MSLO from Real Simple, where she has served as Senior Style Editor since November 2007 and acting Style Director since October of this year. Previously, she held the position of Food Editor at Marie Claire Australia while also consulting on books with high-profile chefs in New York and Australia, including Andrew Carmellini, Christine Manfield and Karen Martini. Prior to that, she was the Food Editor at Vogue Entertaining + Travel magazine in Sydney. In addition, she has served as a freelance food editor and stylist for a range of magazines in New York and Sydney, including Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, Australian Vogue and Vogue Living magazines.

In announcing the appointment, Founder Martha Stewart stated: "Anna is a very talented woman with expertise as a food editor and a wonderful visual sense that will serve Everyday Food very well. We are pleased to welcome her."

Lucinda Scala Quinn said: "I am very excited that Anna is joining the Everyday Food family. She brings a fresh perspective to the magazine, an appreciation for the kinds of simple and inspiring recipes it features, and a rich range of experience preparing and styling food that is tasty, healthy and looks great on the plate. All of these qualities will be tremendous assets, and we're looking forward to her leadership."

Ms. Last said: "I am delighted to be joining the very talented team at Everyday Food. I have always loved the magazine and its approach to simple, stylish food that is delicious and accessible. It is a fantastic source of reliable, easy-to-make dishes that look every bit as good as they taste. I'm a long-time admirer of Martha Stewart and I look forward to working with her and the team to further evolve Everyday Food."
