MÖRFELDEN-WALLDORF (dpa-AFX) - Collective bargaining peace has been secured for Lufthansa cabin crew until the end of 2026. The members of the Independent Flight Attendants Organization (Ufo) union accepted the collective bargaining agreement negotiated two weeks ago with a majority of 80.45 percent, as announced on Wednesday. The second ballot had become necessary after more than 96 percent had initially voted in favor of a strike, which then took place in March.

The salaries of the almost 19,000 flight attendants will increase by 17.4 percent in three stages, including the interest effect. Vacation pay and allowances for foreign language skills will also be increased. In addition, the payment of an inflation adjustment bonus of 3,000 euros was agreed for the next possible date.

The agreement does not cover employees on the aircraft of Lufthansa subsidiary Cityline and Discover. According to Ufo, talks with the Group are still ongoing at both companies./ceb/DP/jha
