Lionsgate has appointed former Facebook executive Kamala Avila-Salmon as its first head of inclusive content. Under the new role, Avila-Salmon will work across Lionsgate as a partner to help guide decisions around creative content, as well as work with the studio's Chief Diversity Officer, Jamila Daniel, to support internal diversity and inclusion processes and initiatives. Avila-Salmon will report to Lionsgate Motion Picture Group COO Jen Hollingsworth. Avila-Salmon joins Lionsgate from Facebook, where she launched the marketing inclusion discipline within the consumer marketing team.
