The following is a Company Announcement issued by LifeStar Insurance plc ("the Company") pursuant to the Capital Markets Rules issued by the Malta Financial Services Authority.

Resignation - Chief Executive Officer

The Company wishes to announce that Ms Cristina Casingena has stepped down from the roles of Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") and as a Director of the Company. Her resignation is with effect from the 25th August 2023. Ms Casingena's resignation is for personal reasons and not for any regulatory matter. Under her stewardship, the Company continued to strengthen its customer base which experienced a steady growth. One of the milestones of her tenure as CEO was the listing of the Company's shares on the Malta Stock Exchange. Ms Casingena remains available to the Company as may be necessary to ensure a smooth transition and a proper handover of functions and responsibilities. The Board of Directors takes the opportunity to thank Ms Casingena for her positive contribution to the Company and wish her every success for the future.

Appointment Interim Chief Executive Officer

The Company announces that, as subject to regulatory clearance, Mr Roberto Apap Bologna, of 10, Triq ix-Xaghratal-Knisja, Mgarr MGR1424, Malta, is assuming the functions and powers of the CEO as Interim CEO.

Mr Apap Bologna currently serves as the CEO of LifeStar Holding plc, primarily responsible for providing oversight and coordination of the LifeStar group shared support services as well as identifying potential synergies between the various group entities, in order to ensure alignment with group corporate priorities and strengthening governance structures. Mr Apap Bologna joined the LifeStar group as Chief Financial Officer in October 2020.

There are no disclosures to be made in terms of Capital Markets Rules 5.20.5 to 5.20.9.
