Innogy SE has announced plans to install its first battery storage project in Ireland. The company said that it has made a final decision to invest 25 million in the construction of a 60 MW lithium-ion plant near Lisdrumdoagh, in Irelands County Monaghan. Construction will begin this year, with commissioning planned for 2021. A company spokesperson said that the project will be developed by its Belectric subsidiary, without disclosing the capacity of the installation.
