Iberpapel's profits jump 70.5% despite macroeconomic, geopolitical and regulatory uncertainty
Feb 24, 2023
In a year marked by macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainty following the outbreak of war between Ukraine and Russia, Iberpapel generated net profit of €15.8 million, up 70.5% from 2021.
That result was boosted by the revaluation of the Group's forestry assets in Uruguay.
Iberpapel's efficient management drove EBITDA to €30.18 million, growth of 43.3% from 2021.
Revenue was 24.4% higher at €295.02 million, thanks to growth of 38.5% in revenue from paper sales.
Revenue from electricity sales declined by 18.5% due to the idling of the gas CHP plants on account of high gas prices last year.
