GCB Bank PLC, Ghana's largest indigenous Bank, has relocated its Jasikan branch in the Oti Region to its new location opposite the Jasikan College of Education on the Hohoe-Jasikan-Kadjebi Road. The effort is in line with the Bank's commitment to bring first-class banking services to customers in the region in commemoration of the Bank's 70th Anniversary Celebration.

Addressing stakeholders at the relocation ceremony, the Executive Head of Retail Banking Department, Sina Kamagate, acknowledged that Jasikan branch was the very first branch of GCB Bank to be opened in the then Volta Region in September 1960.

He stated that the setting up of the branch at its new location was a collaborative effort between the Bank and the Chiefs and elders of the town. This he indicated resulted in the establishment of an ultramodern edifice to provide unrivalled financial solutions to the Bank's existing and potential customers.

"To ensure that we continue to do more for this community, we do crave your indulgence to keep your trust in us, GCB Bank, as we also commit to providing you with excellent products and services which are designed with you in mind", he emphasized.

Mr. Francis Nyarko, the outgoing GCB Bank Ho Regional Manager, highlighted the GCB story in Jasikan and stated that the Bank has been present in the town for 64 out of its 70 years of existence, serving its customers who are predominantly local farmers and business folks in the community and other neighbouring towns like Worawora, Kpando, Ayoma and Kajebi. He underscored the symbiotic relationship that the Bank and these communities have enjoyed post-independence till date.

The Chief of Jasikan, Nana Edje Tete Kpase-Brantuo VII, who also doubles as the Adontenhene of the Buem Traditional Area, commended GCB Bank for opening the branch. He acknowledged the exceptional banking services customers have received from the Jasikan branch over the past years and attested to knowing this first-hand since he is a proud customer of the Bank.

Present to grace the occasion were Nana Agyeiwaa, Queen mother of Jasikan, Hon. Elizabeth Kessewaah Anim Adjornor, the Municipal Chief Executive of Jasikan, Kofi Iddie Adams, the Honourable Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency, Dr. Samuel Duodu, Amankrado of Jasikan, the Most Reverend Gabriel Ababio Mante, Catholic Bishop of Jasikan Diocese, Alhaji Imam Abdul Razak Abubakar, Jasikan Municipal Imam, Alhaji Ibrahim Adam, Hausa Zongo Imam, Mr. Joshua Aboagye and Mr. Kennedy Brantuo, former Regional Managers of GCB Bank.
