Participation in offshore wind power generation project in the U.K.

Fuyo General Lease Co., Ltd. (Headquarters Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO Hiroaki Oda; hereinafter "Fuyo Lease'') has participated in the offshore wind power generation business in the United Kingdom for the first time through an investment in an energy transition co-investment fund (Equitix MA 21 LP; hereinafter "the Fund''), investing in Renewables, including offshore wind power generation projects in the United Kingdom.

The Fund's investment project is the Beatrice Offshore Windfarm, located approximately 13 km off the North East coast of Scotland. It began commercial operation in 2019, and is a large-scale offshore wind farm with a total generation capacity of 588 MW, consisting of 84 implantable offshore wind turbines.

Equitix Investment Management Ltd. (Headquarters London, UK; hereinafter "Equitix"), which is in charge of managing the Fund, is a well-establishedcore-infrastructure manager in UK and Europe and has a strong commitment to the Net Zero commitment. Equitix aims to provide a stable supply of clean energy to the community by investing in renewables, and leveraging its extensive experience. This is the first time for a Japanese investor to co-invest in an offshore wind asset managed by Equitix. Fuyo Lease invested in the fund through an intermediary, a placement agent (a company that handles private placement funds) of SMBC Nikko Securities Inc.

Under our new medium-term management plan, Fuyo Shared Value 2026, which began in fiscal 2022, the Fuyo Lease Group aims to achieve sustainable growth as a corporate group by simultaneously solving social issues and realizing economic value through the practice of Creating Shared Value (CSV). By taking advantage of the latest industry trends and know-how gained through our investment in this fund, we will expand our business domain in collaboration with our alliance partners and take initiatives with a view to the offshore wind power generation market, which is gradually expanding not only in the UK but also in Japan and other countries.
