Fulcrum Utility Services : Utilities specialist builds on 20-year career with Fulcrum to become Head of Estimating

Fulcrum, the leading independent net-zero focused multi-utility infrastructure and services provider, has continued its strategy to develop talent within the Group with the promotion of Adam Wells to Head of Estimating.

Adam, who has been with Fulcrum for more than 20 years, will lead the Group's team of estimators in the securing and delivering multi-utility infrastructure projects in the Housing and Industrial & Commercial sectors.

Having begun his career outside of the utilities sector in a number of jobs, Adam recognised that joining Fulcrum presented numerous progression opportunities.

Gaining experience with the company led to him becoming a Design Engineer working closely with experienced colleagues while also achieving his EngTech qualification through IGEM.

Adam subsequently moved into bid management, which helped him develop a specialism in estimating and tendering for projects across gas, electricity, water and telecoms, as well as gaining new skills to support Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure projects.

In his new role, Adam will also use his experience to mentor junior colleagues and support Fulcrum's focus on providing personal and professional development opportunities across the Group.

Fulcrum has helped me turn a job into a career that has opened up so many opportunities for me. As well as helping the Group maximise on its project pipeline as Head of Estimating, I also want to help others in the business by offering the same level of support I received.
