Freetech Road Recycling Technology (Holdings) Limited (“Freetech”, or the “Group;” stock code: HK.6888), a leading asphalt pavement maintenance (the “APM”) integrated solution provider, announced that the company successfully completed a large-scale project to upgrade manholes in Xiamen City using its asphalt pavement Hot-in-Place patching vehicle (the “patching vehicle”). Leveraging its advanced technology and equipment, the Group perfectly met the relevant requirements of the Chinese Government in municipal roads maintenance work.

As early as 2012, the Group’ patching vehicles were successfully applied in the upgrade projects of approximately a thousand adjustable manholes on main roads of many islands in Xiamen City. Recently, the Group used the patching vehicles to successfully facilitate Haicang Urban Construction Group’s upgrade of approximately four hundred manholes again on the local roads in Haicang District, Xiamen City. With a high degree of mechanization and integration of the Group‘ patching vehicle, the maintenance work only required one patching machine with higher efficiency than the traditional methods, and occupied only one lane during the maintenance, which showed the low traffic interference. Meanwhile, the recycling rate of the old pavement materials reached close to 100%, the low-carbon and environment-friendly features of the technology were fully demonstrated.

In China, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Zhejiang and other provincial governments have explicitly required the gradual upgrade of the local manholes, and the group expects that the successful application of the Group’s patching vehicles in large-scale manhole upgrading project in Xiamen City will further accelerate its equipment sales and related business.
