Flybe Group PLC announced operating results for the fourth quarter of 2017. For the quarter, the company's turnaround continues with a further improvement in load factors as the company reduces capacity. In the fourth quarter, load factors were up by 6.8 percentage points to 73.5% from 66.7%, a strong performance for the winter season. As a result, estimated passenger revenue per seat was up by 9.0% to £50.84. Passenger numbers rose by 3.7%, even though capacity was reduced by 6.0%. The extremely poor weather in February and March however led to airport closures and flight cancellations across the UK and near continent. This particularly affected Flybe as all the company's flying is within this area.

The company expects net debt at 31 March 2018 to be broadly flat year on year.
