In accordance with Sections 96 and 131 of the Securities Act, 2015 and Clause 5.6.1 of the Rule Book of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited ("PSX"), we, at Engro Corporation Limited (the "Company", or "we"), hereby convey the following information:

With profound sadness, we announce the untimely demise of Mr. Shahzada Dawood, Director and Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors of the Company. Mr. Dawood was also a Director and Chairman on the Board of Directors of our wholly owned subsidiary, Engro Infiniti (Private) Limited and a Trustee on the Board of Trustees for Engro Foundation.

By way of background, Mr. Dawood joined the Board of the Company in 2003, and in his two decades of service to Engro, led the organization from strength to strength. He was a strong advocate of corporate social responsibility and believed that Engro should be at the forefront of the drive to solve the nation's most pressing problems. He was a keen follower of science and technology and exhorted Engro to be persistent in its push to innovate. Humility and approachability were his hallmarks, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
