Crown Resorts Limited announced the appointment of Anne Ward as a new independent Non-Executive Director to the Board, subject to the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals. Ms. Ward is an experienced company director with expertise in business management, strategy, governance, risk and finance across sectors including financial services, technology, healthcare, government, education and tourism. Based in Melbourne, Ms. Ward is currently chair of ASX-listed companies Redbubble and MNF Group and a Council member at RMIT University. Previously Ms Ward was a commercial lawyer, with senior executive positions including General Counsel for Australia and Asia at National Australia Bank and a partner at Minter Ellison. Ms. Ward will join the Crown Board immediately upon the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals. Anne Ward is a respected company director and is currently chair of e-commerce group Redbubble and communication software provider MNF Group, a Council member at RMIT University, a Director of the Foundation for Imaging Research, and a Governor of the Howard Florey Neuroscience Institutes. Previously Ms. Ward held chair roles at Colonial First State Investments, Qantas Superannuation and Zoos Victoria and was a director of MYOB Group, Flexigroup, the Victorian Government’s Transport Accident Commission, Epworth Hospital and the Brain Research Institute. Prior to her career as a professional director, Ms Ward spent nearly three decades in commercial law, including as General Counsel for Australia and Asia at the National Australia Bank and a partner at Minter Ellison in Melbourne. Ms. Ward holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
