On September 8, Luis Quesada, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to China and his delegation visited Beijing headquarters of CGGC International, warmly received by Lyu Zexiang, Chairman and Secretary of the Party Committee of CGGC International. The parties had in-depth friendly communication about cooperation on investment and construction in the field of energy infrastructure in Peru.

Lyu Zexiang welcomed the ambassador and his delegation, and extended sincere gratitude to the Embassy of the Republic of Peru in China for its great support over time. Lyu noted that, as a core member of China's large-scale central enterprise Energy China, CGGC has operated its businesses in 142 countries and regions throughout the world, providing customers with full-industrial chain one-stop solutions from planning, design and construction to operation. South America is the core regional market of CGGC International, while Peru is the key market always attracting great attention from CGGC International. CGGC International has signed contracts for a total of 7 projects won via bidding since it made presence in Peru in 2017, which involve transportation, housing construction and many other fields. In the face of Covid-19, projects under construction are smoothly progressed with proper measures in place for pandemic prevention & control, as well as resumption of work and production. CGGC is full of confidence in the Peruvian market and wishes to participate in construction projects in such fields as power, energy, roads, sewage treatment, oil and gas transportation in Peru in various forms including EPC and investment, thus making new contributions to the economic construction of Peru.

H.E. Ambassador thanked CGGC International for its warm reception and extended his appreciation for CGGC's continuous efforts in increasing its resource input in Peruvian market. As he noted, opening its arms for foreign investments, Peru has formed sound laws and regulations, including labor laws, and fostered favorable environment for investment and construction projects. China and Peru have established close economic and trade cooperation, and Peru has become the second largest investment destination of China and a preferred destination for Chinese investors in Latin America. To date, there are over 170 Chinese-funded enterprises in Peru. Considering the Peruvian market's strong demands for infrastructure construction in such fields as roads, new energy and housing construction, the Peruvian government is looking forward to establishing closer cooperation with such excellent international engineering contractors as CGGC and the Embassy of the Republic of Peru in China will leverage active support for the business expansion of CGGC in Peru.

Among other attendees were minister counselor for Peruvian Embassy Jaime Casafranca, consul Caesar Villavicencio, CGGC International Vice General Manager Zhou Xing, and relevant principals from International Department I and Market Investment Department.
