Bouygues has announced that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has officially validated Bouygues Construction's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets for the period 2021-2030.

This certification attests that the company's commitments are in line with current scientific data on climate and comply with the Paris Agreement, whose objective is to keep the increase in global average temperature well below 2°C compared with pre-industrial levels, while continuing efforts to limit it to 1.5°C.

Bouygues Construction has set itself three targets for reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 compared with 2021, namely :
- a 40% reduction in scopes 1 & 2 (direct emissions produced by the company's own activities)
- a 30% reduction in scope 3 (indirect emissions generated by the company's value chain) upstream (in the construction phase) and downstream (in the operating phase) building in intensity
- a 20% reduction in scope 3 upstream public works in absolute terms.
