BEST S A : Repayments from Claim portfolios Continue to Climb in H1

In the first half of the year, repayments from the claim portfolios managed by BEST reached PLN 209 million, up by 15% YOY, of which repayments due to BEST Capital Group amounted to PLN 185 million, up by 12% YOY. In the second quarter alone, the three-month level of repayments exceeded PLN 100 million for the first time in the history of BEST Group and amounted to PLN 111 million.

- In the first half of the year, we have seen a continued upward trend in repayments from the managed claim portfolios. Recoveries are up by 15% compared to the same period a year earlier. In the second quarter, repayments exceeded PLN 100 million for the first time in our company's history. Our well thought-out investments, high efficiency and intensive work over the last three years are now paying off. We are well-positioned to upscale our operations in the near future. We are planning to return to larger purchases on the debt market, which is where the ongoing public offering of BEST's bonds comes into play - said Krzysztof Borusowski, President of BEST.

In the first half of 2021, BEST Capital Group invested in new portfolios with a nominal value of PLN 36.5 million. With a purchase cost of PLN 9 million, these portfolios largely comprise mortgage-secured claims. - The debt market is gradually opening up compared to the previous year, when it was strongly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We regularly participate in tenders and seek to significantly drive our investments compared to previous years. But we are not planning to abandon the tried and tested ways with our investment policy, which is key to maintaining high profitability - added Krzysztof Borusowski.

BEST Capital Group plans to publish its full results for the first half of 2021 on 15 September this year.
