BEST S A : Mayor of Elbląg Award for BEST S.A.

BEST was distinguished with the Mayor of Elbląg Award in the 'Entrepreneurship and Innovation' category. The Award is given to individuals, businesses and organisations in recognition of extraordinary initiatives that benefit Elbląg and its residents.

- This year, the main criterion for the awards in each category was being involved in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and helping those who need it the most - says Witold Wróblewski, Mayor of Elbląg when announcing the list of this year's winners.

- When the pandemic broke out, it quickly became clear that all kinds of help for our healthcare workers would be vital in combating the coronavirus. We were eager to help the communities of Elbląg and Gdynia, where we operate. I would like to express my gratitude for the award and congratulate other individuals and organisations who received the Mayor of Elbląg Award for their commitment and creative efforts to help the inhabitants in this difficult year 2020 - says Marek Kucner, Vice-President of the Management Board of BEST S.A.

In the spring of 2020, BEST donated PLN 100,000 to the city hospital of Elbląg for the purchase of a ventilator and the necessary medical equipment. BEST S.A. regularly takes up initiatives in Elbląg that benefit the local communities, supports city events, organises attractions for children and helps a local orphanage. - We have been present in Elbląg for over ten years, and we employ around 300 people here. I am proud that many people who started working at the company in 2007 are still with us today. Now they are highly skilled professionals, and some hold managerial functions in our company. I am happy to see BEST grow together with the inhabitants of Elbląg - adds Marek Kucner.
