Asiamoney said, 'BOCHK has strengthened its commitment to CSR over the years. In 2021, BOCHK continued to help SMEs reduce their operating costs amid the pandemic. To encounter the fifth wave of Covid-19 pandemic, the Bank earmarked HK$50 billion in credit support for local SMEs and offered them fee reductions. The Bank launched ERP cloud service to provide a one-stop book-keeping and financial management platform, which benefitted nearly 5,000 SMEs in the city. BOCHK showed concern for the grassroots and donated HK$26 million for delivering anti-pandemic care packs, maintaining hot-meal services and offering daily necessities to the elderly and the underprivileged. It also worked with the Community Chest of Hong Kong to provide tailor-made care packages for cleaners. Their E-donate platform helps reduce administration costs for charitable groups, and at the same time allow the public to do their bit for society in an easier way. In addition, the Bank encourages the employees to serve their community and give back to society. By the end of 2021, there were over 8,000 members for the volunteer team, recording more than 17,000 hours of volunteer service during the year.'
