Aliaxis has appointed Carlos de la Fuente as new chief operational officer for Latin America, effective on June 5, 2023. Carlos will be part of the Aliaxis Global Leadership Team. Carlos will report to Alex Mestres, Divisional CEO Americas, and be based at Aliaxis' LATAM headquarters in Costa Rica.

He succeeds Matthieu Rousseau, who was appointed Group Chief Operations & Supply Chain Officer and a member of Aliaxis' Executive Committee in April 2023. Biography of Carlos de la Fuente Carlos de la Fuente, a Mexican national, brings over 20 years of senior experience in various functions ranging from commercial, operations and strategy management to mergers & acquisitions and business transformation. In these functions he has been overseeing global commercial and operational practices as well.

Prior to joining Aliaxis, Carlos served as VP Andinar Territory & Global Geosynthetics at WAVIN. He has also held senior roles at MEDISTIK as President and Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director & Head of the Performance Acceleration Group in LATAM at The Abraaj Group. He has been the Strategic Planning Director at The Coca-Cola Company México and worked as Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.

Carlos holds a B.S degree in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey and an MBA degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
