NEW YORK, May 7 (Reuters) - The U.S. Energy Information Administration expects total world crude oil and liquid fuels production to rise by 970,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 102.76 million bpd this year, growing faster than the agency's earlier forecast, according to its short-term energy outlook published on Tuesday.

EIA earlier predicted total world output to rise by 850,000 bpd to 102.65 million bpd. The agency also slightly lowered its estimate of last year's global oil and liquids output to 101.79 million bpd from 101.80 million bpd earlier.
