Shares of technology companies rose as traders rotated back into fast-growing artificial-intelligence companies.

Shares of Nvidia rose after undergoing a correction in recent sessions. One tech executive, who didn't wish to be identified, said Nvidia had a "head start" over Silicon Valley competitors on AI-enabling chips. Competition is set to intensify, however.

Electric-car maker Tesla has delayed deliveries of its Cybertruck in recent days, according to buyers, the latest stumble for the automaker facing weakening demand for its electric vehicles.
