Paragon Bank has appointed Ronald Murphy as Vice President, Aircraft Lending. Murphy reports to Mike Edwards, President and Chief Operating Officer at Paragon Bank.

'We're thrilled to have Ron return to Paragon as part of the lending team,' said Edwards. 'He brings an extensive background in aircraft lending, a familiarity with Paragon's culture and values, and a strong work ethic, all of which are assets to both our team and customers.'

In his new role, Murphy is responsible for originating and servicing aircraft loans for the bank by developing relationships with dealers, brokers and end users of business aircraft.

Murphy worked at Paragon from 2005 to 2008 as Senior Vice President, Aircraft Lending. Prior to that, he served on the aircraft lending team at Leader Federal, which was bought out by Union Planters and eventually Regions Bank. Murphy earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and attended the ABA National Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma. Additionally, he is a member of the National Aircraft Finance Association, the National Aircraft Resale Association and the National Business Aviation Association.
