New K9 Officers On Duty

The Beaverton Police Department is proud to announce two new K9 Officers and their canine partners. Congratulations to Officer Jared Lutu and Officer Matt Barrington in becoming the two newest Beaverton Police Department K9 officers.

Officer Lutu, a 9 year officer, will handle K9 Officer Toa and Officer Barrington, a 7 year officer, will handle K9 Officer Atlas. K9 Officer Toa and K9 Officer Atlas are German Shepards and are almost two years old. K9 Officer Toa and Atlas were purchased from a breeder in Indiana.

Officers Lutu, Toa, Barrington and Atlas will start their formal K9 training in January 2016. Officer Toa and Atlas will start their careers as patrol K9's used for tracking.
