The Rural Fire Service has ordered a total fire ban in South East Queensland for Thursday.

Blustery winds and a dry air mass have heightened the bushfire risk and all burn permits have been revoked.

Fire Wardens may, with the permission of the Chief Fire Warden, issue a permit to light fires for the purpose of burning standing sugar cane or sugar cane trash in accordance with industry practice.

Tips on how to be bushfire ready can be found at www.logan.qld.gov.au/disasters and https://ruralfire.qld.gov.au/BushFire_Safety/Pages/Create-your-bushfire-survival-plan.aspx
