Global Automakers Association of Global Auto : Continues Support for NAFTA Modernization
WASHINGTON, DC, JULY 17, 2017 - The Association of Global Automakers, President and CEO, John Bozzella released the following statement after the Administration released its negotiating objectives for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
'Today's U.S. automotive industry is a critical driver for the U.S. economy, supporting millions of direct and indirect jobs across the country. Global Automakers supports the modernization of NAFTA and is reviewing the objectives the Administration released today ahead of the upcoming negotiations. Trade and economic integration enabled by NAFTA supports U.S. auto production, employment and global competitiveness. We look forward to working with the Administration on commonsense reforms to this important trade agreement.'
