Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable JSC : YOFC Strikes a Stage Pose at the 19th China International Optoelectronic Expo

On September 6, the 19th China International Optoelectronic Exposition is held at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. As the world's largest supplier of fibre preform, optical fibre and cable, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (stock code: 6869.HK referred to as 'YOFC') has participated in the Expo with a full range of specialty fibre products, cable products, active optical cable series products, data center solutions and fibre bragg grating series products and solutions. Popular New Specialty Optical Fibre

At the Expo site, YOFC new product launch event is one of the most crowded scenes, where all kinds of customers have gathered to spare no seat. The new products include polarization-maintaining optical fibre (with thin diameter or for device), single-mode fibre series for device, coupling fibre series (thin diameter), Yb-doped fibre for fibre laser, spin fibre, long distance DTS system and C-band optimized fibre and low-mode fibre.

At this Expo,YOFC focuses on the introduction of high-power active cable for fibre laser, polarization-maintaining fibre for device, anti-bending single-mode fibre for hydrophone or passive device and so on, more than 10 kinds in total. YOFC Maxband OM5 bend insensitive multi-mode fibre is specialtyly designed for short wave length division multiplexing (SWDM) applications. Unlike traditional OM4 fibre with high bandwidth performance in only 850nm, YOFC Maxband OM5 bend insensitive multi-mode fibre has high bandwidth in 850-950nm. It offers optical fibre solutions for 100Gb/s and 400Gb/s multiple wavelength large capacity data systems in the future.

YOFC FIBBR®active optical cable series is a new consumer solution of high-speed electronic interface transmission with fibre instead of traditional copper wire as the core material. Introduction of Part of New Products

1.20/400double-clad high-powerYb-dopedactive fibrefor fibre laser

YOFC 20/400 double-clad is a key product of Yb-doped active fibre launched by YOFC technical team after several years of research and development. The product meets demands of fibre laser system with power level of 500-1500 watts, which has strict requirements for 20/400 in respect of photon darkening, high power impact resistance, high nonlinear threshold,light-dark of red light and other performances.

2.Specialty single-mode fibre for device

Specialty singe-mode fibre for device is a single-mode fibre widely and mainly used in fibre coupler, isolator, circulator, patch cord and other passive device. Based on advantages brought by PCVD technology and accurate deposition, YOFC specialty single-mode fibre, in recent years, has reached peer-level excellence and commercial scale of mass production, after joint improvement and long-term reliability verification of YOFC with terminal customers.

3.Spun fibre for FOCT

Spun fibre spuns periodically.Because of its high round birefringence and strong anti-interference, it has become the ideal material for sensing fibre ring with current transformer.

4.Single-mode and multi-mode fibre for DTS sensor

At present, DTS system has a general key problem in degraded spatial resolution, limited temperature range, poor high temperature resistance, anti-hydrogen loss and other aspects in long-distance transmission. In response to the problem,YOFC has introduced single-mode and multimode fibre to extend DTS temperature measurement range and optimize C-band attenuation bandwidth.

5.Bending insensitive single-mode fibre for hydrophone

For fibre optical hydrophone, YOFC has specially designed a series of bending insensitive fibre and fibre and cable for device used under the sea, to detect underwater acoustic signals. They can be used in national defense or civilian fields to collect underwater information, explore oil and gas and monitor earthquake, etc.
