To The Editor:

The St. Lawrence Central High School music program would like to thank the Angels Unearthed performing group for coming to our school on October 14, 2017. The money raised at this concert will help support future endeavors of the Tri-M Music Honor Society chapter at the high school. This concert encouraged more participation and excitement in the music programs throughout the school. The concert was entertaining and enjoyed by everyone that attended.

Veteran's Christmas Tree

To The Editor:

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary #1143 will be lighting their Veteran Christmas Tree this year on November 11, 2017, Veterans Day, and then will be lit again on December 6' until after Christmas.

Anyone who would like to give us the name of your Veteran and your name to light a bulb, we are taking names now. Your donation is what ever you want to give. They gave so much and this is a way that we can remember how much we care about them.

You may send your Veteran's name and donation to Patricia Rubado @ 114 Beach Street, Massena, NY 13662 or you can drop off your donation to the VFW at 101 West Hatfield Street Massena NY 13662 and ask them to give to the Treasurer Jeanne Jarvo.

This project means a great deal to our Auxiliary and all the proceeds are used for Veterans' projects.

Please remember our Veterans that are in the Nursing Homes or are homebound this Christmas season.. A card., visit, or a phone call will mean so much.

Thanking you in advance.

Garden Club Issues Thanks

To The Editor:

Late in September The Ogdensburg Garden Club sent a letter to many organizations, businesses and civic groups in the community asking for help in maintaining the hanging baskets and planters in the 2018. We have been overwhelmed with the response and generosity of many. Without a doubt we will be able to continue our tradition of placing hanging baskets and planters to help beautify our city. We are delighted and eager to do the best we can this coming summer.

Many of the contributing organizations gave a little (or a lot) extra, and we will try to repay your trust in us by doing a little extra as well. Thanks so much to all of you!

We have received gifts from Jreck Subs, Bertrand Construction, Bill and Maureen Hosmer, No Country Family Health NP, PLC, Mort Backus & Sons, Rena Goldberg, Hoosier Magnetics, Carlisle Law Firm, Phillips Diner, Marcia LeMay, Gary Alford, Howland Pump, Pepsi Bottlers of Ogdensburg, Save-a-Lot, the Diocese of Ogdensburg, and St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union.

It is good to know so many people share our vision of a more beautiful Ogdensburg and want to help make that happen.

Thank you again and thanks to those who may not have responded yet but also want to join this wonderful group of donors.
