Sevan Drilling ASA is a Norway-based company active in the oil and gas industry. It is an international offshore drilling contractor that specializes in the ultra deepwater (UWD) segment. The Company operates one rig of the Sevan Cylindrical Drilling. Additionally, the Company owns another cylindrical UWD under construction, at the COSCO Shipyard. Both rigs have long term charter contracts in Brazil. The Company operates through 18 wholly-owned subsidiaries, such as Sevan Drilling Rig Pte Ltd, Sevan Marine Servicos de Perfuracao Ltda, Sevan Drilling Rig AS, and Sevan Drilling Holding Pte Ltd, among others. Main shareholder of Sevan Drilling ASA is SeaDrill ASA. On September 5, 2013, it completed acquisition of the Company's shares and is in possession of 50,11% stake.
