Andrea Perry, Senior Client Relationship Manager for the Atlantic region of The Northern Trust Company, Canada, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Association of Canadian Pension Management. ACPM is the leading advocate for plan sponsors and administrators in the pursuit of a balanced, effective and sustainable retirement income system in Canada.

Perry is one of 13 members of the ACPM Board of Directors and represents the Atlantic region, including New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, on the board. She was elected in September to serve a three-year term.

'We applaud ACPM's appointment of Andrea to this leadership position,' said Arti Sharma, head of The Northern Trust Company, Canada. 'Andrea brings deep expertise and insight on retirement industry issues to the Board, along with a wealth of knowledge about Canada's East Coast and the pension and retirement plans in this region.'

A 30-year veteran of the investment industry, Perry joined Northern Trust earlier in 2017, based in Halifax. She is an active member of ACPM and is a past president and current member of the CFA Society Atlantic Canada.

'We are pleased to welcome Andrea to our Board, which represents the ACPM membership and helps to guide the development of policies in support of an effective and sustainable Canadian retirement income system,' said Michel Jalbert, Chair, ACPM Board of Directors. 'Andrea's experience and extensive relationships in Canada's retirement industry will be a tremendous asset as we enlist the talent and resources of our national volunteer member base to advocate on behalf of Canadian plan sponsors, administrators and their service providers.'
