Ric Deverell has joined Macquarie as Chief Economist and Head of Macro Research.

Bringing over 25 years of experience analysing the global economy and financial markets, Ric joins Macquarie from Credit Suisse in New York, where he was Managing Director and Global Head of Fixed Income and Economic Research. His other prior senior roles at the Reserve Bank of Australia and in Treasury also bring an important perspective to analysing the challenges global economies currently face.

With a broad range of expertise and relationships across global economics, commodities, foreign exchange, technical analysis and strategy, Ric will be based in Sydney and will also work closely with Macquarie's international clients.
