SEEKONK - Police are asking for help in identifying a suspect in a fraud scheme in which over $1,000 in merchandise was stolen from Kohl's department store.

A woman fraudulently purchased the merchandise Jan. 12 using the victim's personal information and a license, according to Seekonk Police Chief Craig Mace.

The suspect in surveillance photographs released by police "may be an associate of a woman who has made similar fraudulent purchases," Mace said.

That woman has already been identified by police, according to the police chief.

Anyone who has information can call police at 508-336-8123 or the police department's tip line at 508-336-7027 ext. 9.

The primary investigator is Detective David Mahoney.
