CCS is an executive agency of the Cabinet Office, supporting the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.The framework will run for up to four years and OJEU estimates the total value is up to £2.8bn. Kier was successful in all three lots bid; Lot 1 (Multi-Disciplinary Services), Lot 3 (Architectural Services) and Lot 5 (Civil and Structural Engineering Services).

Kier's workplace services division will offer a range of professional consultancy services to central government, local government, health, education, devolved administrations, emergency services, defence and not-for-profit organisations,including:

  • Architecture
  • BIM coordination
  • Building services engineering
  • Cost management
  • Civil & structural engineering
  • Project management.

The appointment adds to a number of recent successes from Kier's design and asset management team. Oldham Town Hall, a project where the team has provided structural engineering support, has won accolades at the 2017 North West regional RICS, RIBA, Regional Construction and Local Authority Building Excellence Awards and has been shortlisted for Building Project of the Year (£10m to £50m) at the British Construction Industry Awards 2017.
