  • JLT renews its sponsorship of the popular Long Walk Hurdle race for the next three years.

JLT has announced that it has extended its current relationship with Ascot Racecourse to sponsor the JLT Long Walk Hurdle for a further three years.

The new agreement sees JLT, one of the world's leading providers of insurance, reinsurance and employee benefits related advice, brokerage and associated services, as title sponsor of the renowned JLT Long Walk Hurdle until the end of 2019. The renewal includes trackside brand exposure and the right to exclusively judge and present the best turned out horse award.

As one of Ascot's most popular races, the JLT Long Walk Hurdle will take place on the 23rd December and is a Grade 1 National Hunt hurdle race open to horses aged four years or older. It is run at Ascot over a distance of around three miles and includes fourteen hurdles.

This year, the race will be run in memory of Reve Di Sivola, a familiar and much-loved staple of the Christmas racing calendar and who ran in the Long Walk on five occasions, latterly last December, and won three out of the five.
