Fnac Darty : launches in New Caledonia

FNAC LAUNCHES IN NEW CALEDONIA

Fnac Darty is continuing its expansion with the news that a Fnac franchise store is set to open tomorrow in Nouméa, New Caledonia, where the retailer Darty already has three stores.

By bringing Fnac to New Caledonia, Fnac Darty is continuing its roll-out to French overseas territories. The Group also operates in Réunion, Guadeloupe, Martinique and French Guiana.

With this opening in Nouméa, the first Fnac store in the Pacific region, the retailer has once again opted for the franchise model. Fnac is drawing on the expertise and strength of a local partner, the HBO group, which manages eight retailers in various sectors, including toys, stationery, multimedia, books and fine arts.

The Fnac franchise store is located downtown (34 Rue de L'Alma) with a sales area of 600 m² and 15 employees. It will offer all the usual Fnac products and services, including books, CDs, DVDs, games, micro-computing, telephony, connected objects, and sound, photo and video products. Once opened, the retailer will also offer a membership scheme.
