Eiffage strengthens its position in Spain in energy with the acquisition of EDS Ingeniería y Montajes

Eiffage Energía, a Spanish subsidiary of Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, has just acquired EDS Ingeniería y Montajes, a company that specialises in electrical installation work and maintenance of low, medium and high-voltage lines.

EDS Ingeniería y Montajes, whose head office is located in Galdakao in Spain's Basque Country, generated revenue of nearly €25 million in 2016 and has more than 270 employees. It operates its business with the support of a seven-branch network in the Basque, Navarre and La Rioja regions.

With more than 30 branches in Spain, Eiffage Energía already has a strong presence in the country and this acquisition will expand its regional network, increasing its workforce to over 3,000 employees.
