Apple Inc.'s shares closed down 1.68% on Wednesday on nearly 53 million shares traded. It was a concerning day for the tech giant after it confirmed that its latest smartwatch has problems. Apple's Watch Series 3 with LTE, which starts at $399, was recently launched but has problems making calls and accessing data if an iPhone is not nearby. The watch is the first version that has cellular network connectivity built in. Due to the problems, many reviewers announced on Wednesday that they do not recommend the watch because of the wifi glitch. According to company spokeswoman Amy Bessette, Apple is "investigating a fix for a future software release." Both the Wall Street Journal and The Verge also recommended that consumers do not purchase the new model watch. Lauren Goode of Verge wrote, "Considering that my Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE (both first and second review units) didn't function like it was supposed to, I can't recommend buying it ? and paying the monthly cell fee ? based on promises." Apple also released its newest iOS 11 on Tuesday that is having issues.
