New Jersey American Water Investing $382,500 in Eastampton

VOORHEES, N.J. (July 18, 2018) -New Jersey American Water is replacing approximately 1,320 feet of aging water mains in its Eastampton service area. The company is replacing main that was installed as far back as the 1950s along Smithville Jacksonville Road, from Monmouth Road to 1110 Smithville Jacksonville Road and Kent Court, Surrey Court and Lancashire Court, from Lancashire Drive to end of the roadway.

This $382,500 investment will continue to improve water service reliability and increase water flows for household consumption and fire protection in this community. This improvement is part of New Jersey American Water's multimillion dollar program to accelerate therenewal of waterinfrastructure that is reaching the end of its useful life in more than 100 communities across the state.

New Jersey American Water's local qualified contractor Pioneer Pipe Contractors, Inc. will begin work next week and conclude by the end of September. Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work outside of these hours is not expected unless required to maintain project schedule. Final street restorations of Smithville Jacksonville Road will be completed by te Township in the fall of 2018. Final street restoration of Kent Court, Surrey Court and Lancashire Court will be completed in the spring of 2019.

For the public's and workers' safety, traffic restrictions and/or alternating traffic patterns are likely to occur during work hours. All emergency vehicles and local traffic will be allowed access during construction.
